Welcome to the Fishing job guide. A relaxing and rewarding roleplay experience perfect for new players. With 70 hours required, this job lets you earn steady income while enjoying San Andreas’ lakes, rivers, and coastlines.

🛠️ Requirements​

Before you begin:

  • 🎣 Fishing Rod – Buy from 24/7 Stores (quality depends on job level)
  • 📄 Fishing License – Purchase from GOV Building (required to interact with fishing spots)
  • ⏱️ 0 hours of gameplay time needed

⚠️ You cannot fish without a license — it’s enforced by the game system!

📍 Step 1: Get Your License & Rod​

  1. Visit the GOV Building and speak to the GOV Employee
  2. Purchase your Fishing License
  3. Buy a Fishing Rod from any 24/7 Store:
    • 🟢 Normal Quality – Entry-level, low cost
    • 🟡 Medium Quality – Better catch rate
    • 🔴 High Quality – Best performance (drops from loot, not sellable)

💡 Higher job level unlocks better rod access.

🎯 Step 2: Go to Fishing Spots​

Look for red HOOK symbols on your map — these are valid fishing locations.

Approach the water, equip your rod, and press SHORTCUT BUTTON to start fishing.

🐟 Step 3: Catch & Collect Fish​

  • Wait for a bite (visual and audio cue)
  • Press SHORTCUT BUTTON again to reel in
  • Each catch gives random fish types
  • Fill your inventory with fresh catch

🎮 No mini-game — just patience and timing!

💰 Step 4: Sell Your Catch​

Head to the "Merchant - Fishing" NPC (marked on map) and sell your fish for cash.

  • Prices vary by fish type and quantity
  • Regular sales increase your job XP
